Workshops are in flexible format for one hour, three hour, or six hour presentations. Articles based on these workshops also available.

Do you work full time? Have an active family life?

Do you want to be more productive? Have you tried the writing process of other writers but failed to stay with it?

Do you feel stuck, frustrated trying to balance your ‘real life’ with your ‘writing life’?

Did you answer ‘yes’ to two or more of these questions?

In this workshop you will learn five basic universal needs; create your own ‘need profile’, and craft your personal writing life support plan.

Do you feel overwhelmed with character interviews; the idea of writing ten – twenty page biographies about each of your main characters?

Does your mind balk and your fingers freeze on the keyboard at the idea of writing a thirty page outline on the main turning points and main conflict(s) in your story?

Do you struggle to find ways to increase realistic internal and external conflict in your characters?

In this workshop, participants learn five basic universal needs; develop ‘need profiles’ for at least one main character; and easily use these profiles to increase character conflict. Click here for the handout.

It can happen to all of us in our writing life and in ‘life’. It makes no difference if we are new to writing, un or pre-published, experienced, published, mid-list, or best-seller. A negative thought diverts us from our writing life and we start down the path of worry, doubt, anxiety, dread, panic until we are immobilized by fear.

Fear does not need to control us. Fear does not need to win.

In this workshop you will learn five basic universal needs; determine your own ‘needs profile’, and use your needs profile to explore ways to take control of fear.
